We arrive at Hubballi Airport and transfer to the hotel in Hampi (175 km/3.5 hrs). Hampi is a village and temple town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Karnataka, India. It was one of the richest and largest cities in the world during its prime. Spend the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Hampi. **Accommodation**: Royal Orchid Hotel or similar (4*) ### Day 2: Hampi Sightseeing After breakfast, we start our trip with sightseeing of Hampi. We visit the majestic Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Virupaksha, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. This is followed by a visit to the underground Shiva temple, Royal centre (Queen’s Bath, Lotus Mahal) and the Elephant Stables. The intricate design and emphasis on little details of these stables indicate the importance that was attached to the royal elephants of the empire. Dinner and Overnight stay in Hampi. **Accommodation**: Royal Orchid Hotel or similar (4*) ### Day 3: Heritage Drive to Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal Early morning, we head with packed breakfast to Badami (135 km/3 hr). Here, we visit the famous Badami Cave Temples, considered as UNESCO’s world heritage site. One is completely mesmerized by the charms of these caves. There are four caves, all carved out of the soft Badami sandstone on a hill cliff in the late 6th to 7th centuries. Later, we head for Pattadakal (22 km/30 mins). Pattadakal is yet another UNESCO world heritage site and has some amazing temples that we can look forward to seeing. This is followed by a visit to Aihole (14 km/20 mins), also a UNESCO world heritage site. Aihole has historical significance and is called as cradle of Hindu rock architecture. After a long day of wandering, we head back to our hotel in Hampi. **Accommodation**: Royal Orchid Hotel or similar (4*) ### Day 4: Vittala Temple After breakfast, we head for the Coracle ride across the river (weather permitting & at extra cost). We visit the Vittala Temple, the most extravagant architectural showpiece of Hampi. Highlight of Vittala temple is its impressive pillared halls and the stone chariot. Post lunch (on your own), we head to Tungabhadra Dam. Located on the Tungabhadra River, remains a popular attraction where locals and tourists alike go to relax.
