# Women's Day At Macau & Hong Kong

**Route**: `/solo-women-group-travel/hong-kong-with-macau-magic`

## Overview

Hong Kong is such an exciting, lively and vibrant city, that really lives up to it’s term: “East meets West”. It has a great mix of both Western and Eastern, both when it comes to culture, food, shopping, and architecture. It is a city that has “everything”

Known as the 'Vegas of China', Macau is indeed an epicentre of gambling and glitz. Macau was a Portuguese colony for 300 years, Chinese temples stand on maritime-themed Portuguese tiles; and when you're hungry, it could be Chinese dim sum, pastéis de nata (Portuguese egg tarts) or Macanese minchi (ground meat stir-fried with potatoes) that come to the rescue.
