Colombo, gateway to the wonder of Sri Lanka, is a vibrant city known for its colonial charm, cultural diversity, bustling streets, and beautiful coastline. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy High Tea at Galle Face Hotel Colombo. Later enjoy the Pink Evening followed by Dinner & overnight stay in Colombo with the WOW women travel community, creating safe and women friendly travel experiences for women who travel together. **Accommodation**: Colombo Court Hotel & Spa or similar (5*) ### Day 2: A Cultural Day in Kandy After breakfast Drive for Kandy (Approx 3 hr 36 min //145 km), nestled among lush hills and misty mountains, Kandy is often regarded as the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Once the last royal stronghold of the Sinhalese kings, it is today a UNESCO World Heritage City that blends history, tradition, and natural beauty. En-route stop at a Spice Garden in Mawanella. Next continue drive to Kandy. On reaching visit the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Later we will go for Kandyan Cultural Show. Check-in to the hotel. En-route witness Ramboda Falls is 109 m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. Thereafter visit a Tea Factory and Tea Plantation. Indulge in an authentic tea plucking experience and a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best tea in the world is produced. Sri Lanka is one of the world’s largest exporters of tea with a roaring tea industry that dominates the island’s central highlands. Continue our drive to Nuwara Eliya (1 Hr/31 Km). Dinner and Overnight Stay in Nuwara Eliya. **Accommodation**: Araliya Red Hotel or similar(4*) ### Day 4: City Tour of Nuwara Eliya After a leisurely breakfast explore the charming city of Nuwara Eliya, a full day tour visiting all the main attractions which include colonial buildings, Lake Gregory and seeing beautiful landscapes covered with tea, a contrasting view. First we will visit one of Sri Lanka's oldest post office. A typical Tudor styled colonial building that stands proud with its red brick exterior. Visit Lake Gregory, a man made marvel of colonial days. It was initially built for the purpose of electricity and is now used for recreation and leisure. This beautiful lake is surrounded by breathtaking views of mountains in the distance. Return to hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. **Accommodation**: Araliya Red Hotel or similar(4*) ### Day 5: Thalpe After breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to the serene coastal town of Thalpe (Approx. 6 hrs / 251 kms), via the charming fishing village of Weligama. Known for its crescent-shaped beach, surfing waves, and laid-back seaside charm, Weligama offers a beautiful glimpse of Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Upon arrival in Thalpe, check in to your beachside retreat and spend the rest of the day relaxing amidst the tranquil tropical surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at Thalpe. **Accommodation**: Owl and the Pussycat Hotel or similar(4*) ### Day 6: Whale Watching - Mirissa Early morning collect the packed breakfast leave @ 05:30 am for watching whales in Mirissa in order to be at the jetty (weather depending). Mirissa is the ideal place for whale and dolphin watching between the months of November to April, as the waters become a playground for a myriad of whales and dolphin species.(Note: spotting of whales is not 100% guaranteed) Blue whales are most often seen. Spend rest of the day at leisure on the beach. In evening you may visit the Coconut Tree Hill is a private coconut estate with a nearby temple set on a high cliff overlooking the glistening waters of the Indian Ocean and the untouched stretch of golden beach. A short, exciting trek from the base to the summit of the hill or ‘dome’ takes you about 10 minutes through the coconut estate before you’re left in awe at the most stunning view of Mirissa and its golden coast, making it a perfect women adventure experience for women who travel together. Return to the hotel by evening. En-route make a stop in Galle and explore the Fort, southern province with a colorful history. Galle Fort offers the best preserved example of a European built fortified city in Asia. It was built by the Dutch from the 17th Century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once completed continue drive to Colombo On reaching commence a city tour of Colombo. Visit the Lotus Tower which is as high as 350 meters (External visit only). Drive past and Galle Face Green. Visit the Old Parliament (External visit only) Building which is reminiscent of the New-baroque architectural style. Make a stop at Gangaramaya Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Colombo. Then, enjoy time for shopping at popular spots like ODEL, One Galle Face Mall, and Noritake. Around 9:00 PM, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant (on your own).
