Day 1
Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to China! On arrival at the Beijing Capital International Airport, transfer to the hotel to rest and relax. This imperial city has as much history to it as modern advancements. The evening can be spent leisurely in preparation for the sightseeing that begins the next day.

Day 2
In and Around Beijing
After breakfast, we’ll proceed for the sightseeing tour of Beijing, starting with the Jade Factory and the Great Wall of China at the Juyong Pass. After lunch, we’ll stop at the Summer Palace, Bamboo Factory and get an outside view of the Olympic Stadium. In the evening we’ll attend the Golden Mask show and return to the hotel after dinner.

Day 3
Forbidden City and More
After breakfast, we’ll check-out and visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. As one of China's largest and most well-preserved heritage sites, the Forbidden City is a must-see. It has 9,999 rooms filled with ancient artifacts. Later, we’ll spend some shopping time at the Silk Street, before heading to the railway station to take the high-speed bullet train to Xi’an. We’ll arrive in Xi’an at night and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4
Highlights of Xi'an
After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a half-day tour of the Terracotta Warriors and crockery factory. The Terracotta Warriors, also known as the Terracotta Army, is a buried army of more than 8,000 life-size terracotta soldiers, which were designed as the guardian troops of the the grand tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di in his afterlife. We’ll visit the Muslim Street, have lunch (on own account) and then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5
Arrival in Shanghai
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall and after lunch, we’ll transfer to the railway station for the train journey to Shanghai (6 hours). We’ll transfer to the hotel after our arrival in Shanghai.

Day 6
The city which never sleeps
After breakfast, we explore Shanghai. We’ll visit the People’s Square, Pearl Factory and the Jade Buddha Temple and the 88th floor of the Jin Mao Tower (walk along a 60-meter-long and 1.2-meter-wide glass skywalk without rails on own expense), followed by the outside view of TV tower & waterfront area.Later, we’ll visit the AP Market for shopping and in the evening enjoy the river cruise. Dinner and overnight stay in Shanghai.

Day 7
On a shopping spree
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Yu Garden and Xintiandi Road, an affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. Lunch on own and this will be followed with a visit to Nanjing Road for more shopping before we wind up for the day with dinner.

Day 8
Goodbye China
Transfer to the Shanghai Airport for your trip back home as you leave with a host of brilliant memories, new friends and precious experiences that makes China so incredible.

"This was my fifth trip with WOW in under 2 years and my first international one, so I had a lot of expectations and they were almost all met and sometimes even exceeded. And how could I ever forget getting to see the Pandas close up. I consider them my spirit animal - try to move for like a second and if not possible then fall back down and rest a while... ha ha.... I only wish they allowed people to hug them but of course it's good for the Pandas that they don't.

I also absolutely enjoyed every meal on the trip and really relished the Chinese delicacies served up. Was so glad to have had the local fare... if only I could've managed the chopsticks... oh well there's always next time. This trip gave me a glance at a different way of life and has left me intrigued to explore more.

What does twin share price mean?
Twin share price is the price mentioned against a package and it refers to the cost per head for a double sharing accommodation. If you'd like to upgrade to Single Occupancy, please select this at the time of checkout -
Regarding the hotels, what does OR SIMILAR refer to?
OR SIMILAR means that the hotel booked might be different from the hotel mentioned in the itinerary. 90% of the time we book the hotel that’s mentioned, but under few situations it might differ due to on-the-ground factors. So we pick an alternate hotel, but always in the same class and area of the city. -
Do you offer a travel protection / insurance plan for purchase? Is it included in the cost?
Yes, we do offer a travel insurance which is included in the package cost. For travelers above 59 years and above, an additional amount will be charged. -
Can WOW book the flights for us?
Definitely! We routinely book and manage flights for our Wanderers. We recommend that travelers get their flights booked through us as this comes in handy when there are issues to do with cancellations or re-routings. -
Is there a lot of walking during the visit to Great wall of China?
The Great Wall of China has a point at the entrance where one can be at and get an Arial view. There is an option of taking the cable car from the bottom to quite to the top and the scenery is magnificent. Also, there is an option to even walk up to as much as you can as the path way gets steep.
