WOW Club, Women on Wanderlust, is a community of women who travel the world together. Sumitra Senapaty started it in the summer of 2005 so that women could travel solo, with the security that a group gives.

“Travel is a change that goes on through life. Which is why I inspire Wanderers to go further than the must-see-must-do and absorb a travel culture that is unique. Women, be Bold. Wander the Universe.”

Sumitra Senapaty is a women’s travel expert and the founder of WOW Club, Women on Wanderlust, a community that has taken women to 90+ destinations the world over.
Much of her earlier travel, as a writer, was on her own: to New Zealand and to different parts of Africa, Asia and Europe. More recently she led a team of women to the White Continent, Antarctica, and was clearly smitten, so there are plans to go back.
On her journeys, Sumitra realised that not all women have the confidence and the knowledge to travel by themselves. In the summer of 2005, she put her energy and passion into starting a club that would encourage women to travel solo, with the security that group travel provides. WOW Club takes pride in the friendships that form within the community, and in being part of them, wherever in the world they are.
With personal knowledge and contacts throughout the world, Sumitra has made sure that WOW trips are high-quality, curated, niche experiences. WOW trips are known for being offbeat, unusual and, of course, memorable. They are also a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones. A WOW trip means fun, energy, rejuvenation and me-time. It is something every woman must do.
The moments our wanderers still talk about, long after the trip.

Ladakh was where that simple idea turned into something unforgettable. WOW was born in Ladakh with just one trip, one group, and one belief: that women could travel differently, together.

Antarctica was unlike anything we’d ever known: vast, silent, and impossibly pure. It was WOW at the edge of the world, standing in stillness, completely awestruck.

The water roared and rainbows danced. With rainbows above and thunder beneath, WOW embraced the power of Iguazu up close.

El Calafate was where we stood before ancient ice and felt time crack open. We stood there laughing through the cold, camera shutters clicking, etching glaciers into memory.

The Christmas Markets of the Arctic were all twinkling lights and childlike joy. We laughed through the snow, sipped wine, and made memories that still feel warm.

Everest Base Camp was where WOW met grit, grace, and glacier winds. The climb tested us, but the summit moment? Pure, soul-deep triumph.

Mongolia reminded us why we wander. Amid open skies, gentle winds, and the quiet comfort of a yurt, we rediscovered the magic of simplicity and the joy of just being.

The Amazon was where the wild felt sacred. Among ancient trees and endless green, WOW walked slower, breathed deeper, and listened more.

In the heart of the Pantanal, WOW slowed down to nature’s rhythm. Between capybaras and canopy shade, we rediscovered quiet joy, soft laughter, and wild-eyed wonder.

Standing among ancient stones and misty peaks, we felt the wonder of Machu Picchu seep into our souls. A bucket-list moment turned memory.

Some of the best journeys begin not at the airport, but around a table. Thank you, Bangalore, for the warmth, laughter, and instant sisterhood.
