Day 1
Welcome to Egypt
Welcome to Cairo International Airport. Transfer and Check in to the hotel (group transfers only) and recover from the long journey. Unwind and relax. This evening we set off to go for an incredible Nile Dinner Cruise along with folklore entertainment. After an exciting evening, we return to our hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2
Great Pyramids and the Sphinx
After breakfast, we start our much awaited Egypt trip to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. After an exciting encounter with history and more we settle down for lunch at a local restaurant. A visit to mysterious Cairo is never complete without exploring the Egyptian museum. The museum has one of the world’s best collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, including 12 rooms filled with treasures from the tomb of the boy king Tutankhamun. Post lunch we complete the tour of the museum and visit the world famous Khan el Khalili old Bazaar. After that, we return to our hotel for overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3
Cruising the Nile
Post breakfast, we leave the hotel to take the flight from Cairo to Aswan (flight not included). After our arrival at Aswan, visit Philae temple and the High Dam. We will then drive to the Nile River Cruise port and check into the ship for a lovely stay. Post lunch, hop onto the motor boat and visit the Nubian Village - to experience the simple life of the local people of Nubia. Return to the cruise. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 4
Excursion to Abu Simbel
An early morning starting at 04:00 AM takes you touring the Abu Simbel temple, do not forget to take your packed breakfast before de-boarding the cruise. The Abu Simbel Temples are one of the most special places in Egypt. Drive back to the cruise for lunch and enjoy the afternoon with the breathtaking views while we sail to Kom Ombo. Visit to Kom Ombo Temple- The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The layout combines two temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels. The ancient Egyptian place of worship features a distinctive engraving that is thought to be among the first representations of medical and surgical instruments. We will then sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Edfu.

Day 5
Edfu & Luxor
At 06:00 AM, we will depart to visit the Edfu temple located on the west bank of Nile River. The city was known in Greco-Roman times as Apollonopolis Magna, after the chief god Horus-Apollo. Return to the cruise for breakfast. Later we begin our cruise to Luxor via Esna, enjoying the delicious lunch on board. Next we cast anchor at Luxor to visit Karnak Temple. Karnak temple is supposedly the largest religious building to ever be constructed. Built about 2,000 years ago this temple is dedicated to the Theban trio of Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Visit the largest open-air museum in the world “Karnak Temple” in Luxor and attend the fascinating Karnak Sound and Light show. Post this short trip we return to the cruise for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6
Luxor Hot Air Balloon
This is one of the adventurous day of the trip. Early morning at 04:00 AM we get ready for the thrilling Hot air balloon ride(weather permitting). Luxor hot air balloon ride is one of the most beautiful rides in the world. From an air balloon you have a perfect view on how the Egyptians strategically divided the fields. After an exciting day we return back to cruise to get freshened up and to have breakfast. Post breakfast we checkout from the cruise and head out to visit the west bank – Valley of the Kings and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Stop for Lunch . We will then proceed to Hurghada (5 hrs drive). Check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Hurghada.

Day 7
Hurghada-The Beach Resort Town
Enjoy the leisure breakfast at the resort. Today the day is free for leisure and relaxation. Engage yourself in the water sports activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, water ski, speedboat, wind surf etc (all at own expense). You can also explore the gym, courts and Indoor games at the resort or choose to relax by the pool or beach.

Day 8
Hurghada - Cairo
Today carry packed breakfast and we will checkout around 04:00 AM to transfer to Hurghada airport (group transfers only) for flight to Cairo (flight not included). After our arrival in Cairo, we will proceed to visit the Hanging church. It is known in Arabic as al-Muallaqah("The Suspended"), the church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. After we will proceed to visit the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus. The Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga) is a 4th century church and today is the oldest of Cairo's Christian churches. Stop for Lunch (at your own expense). After that, we return to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Departure
Today after breakfast and we will checkout and transfer to the Cairo airport (group transfers only) for the homebound flight.

"Just returned from a WOW trip to Egypt - Overall an awesome trip with lot of history, some adventure, and fun activities. It brought back the memories of history lessons from childhood. I loved the pick hotels - Mena House at Giza, The Savoy hotel at Sharm el Shiekh. Sharm el sheikh was a welcome addition to the itinerary - it is the modern and relaxed side of Egypt. Thank you for including this! We enjoyed the option of scuba diving and snorkeling in the Red Sea at Sharm. Pretty exciting exploring under water! Hiking the colored canyon was a spectacular adventure, and the Shisha experience during our WOW farewell dinner was great fun too. Would I recommend Women On Wanderlust - Certainly!

The pyramids at Giza, the Cairo museum and the brilliant story telling by the Egyptologists are a few of the experiences that made my trip so memorable. The Cairo museum is hands down the best museum I have been to. Seeing Tutankhamun's solid gold coffin was literally a hair raising experience. OR SIMILAR means that the hotel booked might be different from the hotel mentioned in the itinerary. 90% of the time we book the hotel that’s mentioned, but under few situations it might differ due to on-the-ground factors.
