Northern Lights in Norway: A Women-Only Tour

Welcome to Oslo for a lovely stay and a memorable vacation. As the largest city in Norway and the second-largest municipality in the Nordic region, the country’s capital, Oslo, is both modern and diverse. Lying at the head of Oslo Fjord in the southeastern part of the country, Norway’s capital has a stunning selection of truly world-class museums and attractions. Plus, it is easy to walk around. After breakfast, proceed for Oslo guided tour. Our first stop for the day is the medieval Akershus Fortress, the Royal Palace, Parliament and the National Theatre. Then continue with a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park, a famous park that truly has no equal. The park is home to over 200 stone, bronze and cast-iron figural sculptures made by the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. Visit the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, a large ski jumping hill and get a breathtaking view of Oslo fjords. Later proceed to the City Hall, walk on the roof of the Opera House with panoramic views. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Svolvaer (not included). Svolvaer, is the gateway to the Lofoten Islands and is actually one of the most beautiful places in the north of Norway. Upon arrival, transfer to Lofoten. The Lofoten Islands are located in the northwest coast of Norway. This chain of mountains is one of the biggest highlights of the place. Lofoten Islands is also one of the best places to see and photograph the northern lights. Check into the hotel and spend some time at leisure. In the evening, gather for our first Northern Lights Chase. Overnight stay in Lofoten.

Today after breakfast, you get the chance to see sea eagles and experience some of the most scenic landscapes in Lofoten. The tour starts from the quayside in Svolvær followed by Raftsundet. Then we enter Trollfjorden - enjoy some of the most dramatic scenery that Norway has to offer and in an open boat. Later in the evening, proceed for our second Northern Lights Chase. During the darker winter months you could expect to see the aurora many times and constantly be reminded of your proximity to the nature. Overnight stay in Lofoten.

After breakfast at the hotel, we start our drive to Tromso (Approx 6 hours/ 420 km). Winter in Tromso is glittering with snow-covered landscapes, polar nights, and mesmerizing northern lights display. Tromsø offers a diverse range of outdoor activities, city life and cultural events throughout the year, making it a captivating destination for all seasons. After a long drive, check in to hotel and rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay in Tromso.

After breakfast, begin your adventure with an introduction to your personal sled driver, or as we like to call them, your “musher.” After getting acquainted, you’ll embark on a serene and exhilarating Husky Sledding experience, gliding smoothly through the majestic mountain ranges surrounding Tromsø.
