Day 1
Guwahati to Kaziranga
Arrival at Guwahati airport, upon arrival drive to Kaziranga (Approx 6 hours). Kaziranga is famed as a haven for the one-horned rhinoceros, one of India’s great wildlife emblems. Kaziranga National Park is a World heritage site and one of the prides of India, located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass. On arrival, check – in, dinner and overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 2
In the Wilderness of Kaziranga
Wake up early in the morning for an elephant safari in the grasslands of Kaziranga which is sure to leave you mesmerized. After breakfast freshen up and relax at the resort. Afterwards go shopping for handicrafts. In the evening visit the biodiversity park to learn about the rich biodiversity and culture of Assam. Dinner and Overnight stay Kaziranga.

Day 3
Kaziranga to Shillong
After breakfast, we start our memorable journey and drive to Shillong which takes 6 hours approximately. It is the capital of Meghalaya and an ideal place to unwind amidst natural beauty and serenity. En route, we take a short break at Umiam Lake, also known as “Bara Pani” or the Big Water, known for its picturesque and panoramic setting. Dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 4
Dawki- Mawlynnong excursion
After breakfast drive to Dawki on the Indo Bangladesh border. The drive from Shillong to Dawki is a thrilling experience passing through deep gorges and ravines with the crystal clear Umngot River running pass through. Enjoy the scenery and take a ride in local boats. After lunch, drive up to the village of Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia . Walk through this picturesque village and visit the root bridge in the neighboring village of Riwai. Later, by evening drive back to Shillong. Dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 5
Shillong - Cherrapunji
After breakfast drive to the village of Smit and further to Laitlum canyons.Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways.Enjoy the scenic beauty of the place, after which you drive to Cherrapunji. On reaching Cherrapunji visit Nohkalkai falls, ranked high in the 100 best waterfalls in the world. Continue on to Mawasmai caves where you will be able to see various formations like stalagmites and stalactites. Dinner and overnight stay at Cherrapunji.

Day 6
Double decker root bridge
Today after enjoying an early breakfast the adventure begins. The trek passes through some verdant slopes, criss crossed by streams. At some places the stream has made some natural ponds, containing emerald blue water where you can take a dip. The trek is moderately difficult since one needs to descend 2500 feet and 3000 steps approximately (one way) into the valley and then climb up the same again. Dinner & Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.

Day 7
Cherrapunji- Guwahati
After early breakfast, we will drive to Guwahati airport to fly back home. (Approx. 5 hours)

Our vacations strive to introduce you to local authentic flavors, so you can enjoy the destination in a deeper way. Therefore, included meals are usually local or continental. Please request vegetarian meals at the time of booking, and also with the local guide and WOW Buddy on tour; this can usually not a problem when requested in advance. When meals are not included, you may choose an restaurant of your choice in the city you are touring. -
