Later we drive to Split (2 hr 22 min/184.5 km) and check into the hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure discovering the ancient Split on your own. Overnight stay in Split.
-

Walk among the ancient monuments in the historic city core on a guided walking tour of the city that grew around the Diocletian’s Palace, one of the most imposing remains of Roman architecture in Croatia. A walk through the narrow streets and alleys unveils a vibrant mix of historic buildings and trendy coffee bars, restaurants and shops. We will also visit Diocletian cellars. In the afternoon we will proceed for the Trogir walking tour including St Lawrence Cathedral one of the most enchanting medieval towns in the Adriatic. Spend your evening at leisure. After breakfast drive to Zadar. Enroute we stop in Sibenik (1 hr 3 min/87.8 km) and proceed for the walking tour including the visit to St James Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic architectural monuments in the eastern Adriatic, and also UNESCO World Heritage site. Later we drive to Zadar (1 hr 2 min /89.1 km). On arrival proceed for Zadar walking tour. Boasting a historic old town of Roman ruins, medieval churches, cosmopolitan cafes and quality museums set on a small peninsula, Zadar is an intriguing city. Overnight stay in Zadar.
-

To the Plitvice Lakes
After breakfast drive to Plitvice Lakes (1 hr 25 min/118.5 km). Proceed for the morning walking tour of the National park which will include an experiential lake boat ride (weather permitting) and a trail ride. Within the boundaries of this heavily forested national park, 16 crystalline lakes tumble into each other via a series of waterfalls and cascades. We break in the middle to have lunch in a local restaurant in Plitvice lakes area. Post Lunch drive to Zagreb (1 hr 53 min/130.4 km) and check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Zagreb.
-
Day 7
Exploring Zagreb
Today after breakfast get ready to explore Zagreb on walking city tour. Take a ride by the shortest funicular in the world. Running every ten minutes, the funicular railway in Zagreb connects Ilica Street to Strossmayer Promenade and the Lower Town to the Upper Town. Explore Mirogoj Cemetery, Zagreb Cathedral and the Museum of Broken Relationship which are the highlights of this city. Zagreb is made for strolling. Crane your neck to see the domes and ornate upper-floor frippery of the Lower Town's mash-up of secessionist, neo baroque and art deco buildings. Search out the grittier pockets of town where ugly-bland concrete walls have been transformed into colourful murals by local street artists. This city rewards those on foot. Spend your evening at leisure at Tkalciceva Street. Overnight stay in Zagreb.
