Day 1 Chennai to Pondicherry
Pondicherry, or Puducherry, commonly referred to as just Pondy, is a former French colony and one of the best places to glimpse colonial heritage. The French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-coloured villas and cafes filled with the aroma of mouth-watering delicacies, is the ideal place to experience the lingering French influence. Another fascinating draw is Auroville. Between the food, the shopping, the beaches, the ashrams, and the general sense of tranquillity, Pondicherry offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, making it an ideal retreat from life’s chaos. Day 2 Pondicherry
After the breakfast we visit the Aurobindo Ashram, a spiritual community founded by a Bengali philosopher, Aurobindo, in the early 20th century. After which we proceed for a guided walking tour to see some local highlights from outside like French War Memorial, the Aayi Mandapam, a 19th Century Lighthouse, Romain Rolland Library and The Museum, Heritage White town. Visit Manakula Vinayagar Temple. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.

Day 3 Auroville
After the breakfast, we visit Auroville (city of dawn), which is an experimental township founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa and designed by architect Roger Anger. You will also visit the Matrimandir (from outside). There will be some free time to look around and indulge in some shopping spree before we head for lunch at the Auroville café (at our own cost). Back to the hotel & Overnight stay in Pondicherry.

Day 4 Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast check out and proceed to Mahabalipuram (95 km/2 hrs approx) where we visit the Dakshinachitra Cultural Centre, an exciting cross-cultural living museum dedicated to the art, architecture, culture and performing arts of South India. Visit seven Monolithic Temple in Mahabalipuram, each carved from a single granite boulder standing on the seashore It depicts a story from the Mahabharata of how Arjuna performed several austerities in order to obtain Shiva's weapon. Later, check into the hotel at Mahabalipuram which offers sweeping views of swaying coconut trees and the tranquil shore line. Dinner & Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.

Day 5 Departure from Chennai
Post breakfast, head out by 10 AM and drive to Chennai Airport (55 Kms/ 1.5 hrs drive) to board the flight back home.

What if I do not pay the full payment on time or miss my installment date?
We have attractive offers on our trips, but this is available on adhering to the payment schedule shown at the time of booking. If your full payment is not received by the due date as per the payment schedule, you would not be entitled to receive the benefit of WOW offers like super early bird or early bird. You will be charged the regular price when you make your final payment.
Do you offer a travel protection / insurance plan for purchase? Is it included in the cost?
Yes, we do offer a travel insurance which is included in the package cost. For travelers above 59 years and above, an additional amount will be charged.
What does twin share price mean?
Twin share price is the price mentioned against a package and it refers to the cost per head for a double sharing accommodation. If you'd like to upgrade to Single Occupancy, please select this at the time of checkout
Regarding the hotels, what does OR SIMILAR refer to?
OR SIMILAR means that the hotel booked might be different from the hotel mentioned in the itinerary. 90% of the time we book the hotel that’s mentioned, but under few situations it might differ due to on-the-ground factors. So we pick an alternate hotel, but always in the same class and area of the city.
