Day 1
Welcome to Colombo
Arrive at Colombo International Airport and transfer to the Hotel (1 Hr/35 KM) for check in (after 2 PM only). Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy High Tea at Galle Face Hotel, return to the hotel and get ready for pink evening. Dinner & overnight stay at Colombo.

Day 2
Day with the Elephants & Spice
After breakfast continue your journey onwards to Kandy (3Hrs/90 KM). En-route visit Elephant Freedom project for a personal Safari where you walk behind the elephant accompanied by an educated guide learning about the behaviors of the elephant. The walk includes bathing the elephants in the river. Post Lunch (at own expense) continue driving and stop at Spice Garden-Mawenella. Indulge in eco-friendly practices and explore a range of spice-infused products. Continue drive to Kandy and on reaching (1 Hr/26 KM), check-into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at Kandy.

Day 3
Kandy
After breakfast, visit to the workshop of a batik manufacturer in Kandy to learn about the artisan tradition of making designs on fabric with candle wax. Thereafter visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. After lunch (at own expense) visit a Gem Shop. Afterwards enjoy Kandyan Dancing and Cultural Show, watch a cultural show and embrace the unique dance forms and styles. Return back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4
Nuwara Eliya by Train
Rise early morning, after breakfast proceed to Kandy Railway station to catch the train to Ella (3 – 4 Hrs). Have lunch at a local restaurant (at own expense). Transfer & check-in to the hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay is in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5
Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast. Indulge in an authentic tea plucking experience and a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best tea in the world is produced. Visit the factory with a staff member who will explain the process of fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving and grading of tea. At the end of the tour enjoy a cup of high grown processed tea. Have lunch (at own cost) and proceed to explore the charming city of Nuwara Eliya. You will be shown one of Sri Lanka's oldest post offices. Later return to your hotel and spend rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6
Thalpe
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and leave for Thalpe (2 Hrs/60KM). En-route visit Rawana Falls. Continue drive to Thalpe (3 Hrs/169 KM) and have lunch on the way (at own expense). Visit The Coconut Tree Hill. A short, exciting trek from the base to the summit of the hill or ‘dome’ takes you about 10 minutes through the coconut estate before you’re left in awe at the most stunning view of Mirissa and its golden coast. Transfer & check-in to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay is in Thalpe.

Day 7
Whale Watching - Mirissa
Rise early 05:30am morning and with packed breakfast leave for watching whales (45 Mins/23 KM) in Mirissa in order to be at the jetty. You will be picked up from the hotel by coach and transfer to the jetty in Mirissa. Return back to the hotel and have lunch on the way (at own expense). Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay in Thalpe.

Day 8
Galle - Departure
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Galle (1 Hr/35 KM). On reaching explore the Fort. After lunch (at own expense) drive to Colombo. Visit the Lotus Tower standing tall at 350 meters (external visit only), enhancing broadcast quality. Drive by Galle Face Green, then see the New-baroque style Old Parliament Building (external visit only). Stop by the significant Gangaramaya Temple. Indulge in some shopping around Colombo. After having dinner at a local restaurant (at own expense) in Colombo you will be dropped off at the airport @ 12:00 AM for the departure flight.

A super awesome package. Pink evenings are just cherry on top. About Sri Lanka - The destination was mesmerizing and breath taking. Snorkeling experience helped me conquer my fears. Antakshari rounds, dance parties, chilling on the beach, late night talks, food tasting sessions made this trip so memorable. Thank you WOW for giving me a new hope. Looking forward to many more trips!

""Finally.. it took me more than a week to get over from my Sri Lankan hangover.. Yes! The island nation has so much to offer that our 6 day trip looked like a preface for my future travel plans there. Sri Lanka has everything from pristine beaches, tropical forests and of course the majestic hills.

Our itinerary included various experiences from history, nature, wildlife, beach,spice garden, shopping and yeah amazing food. We got to try everything from local street food to the best of Sri Lanka cuisine. My finest experience is easily the boat ride in the Indian ocean for whale watching - happy we are one of the few lucky lot to spot some whales - and my first ever snorkeling experience of the coral reefs in pigeon island. I should mention here the kind of arrangement made for this activity was thoughtful and personalized.
This is my second trip with #WOW and my experience is getting better everytime. Tanvi is a great buddy and our local guide there Mr Victoria was enthusiastic and informative. And not to forget my fellow travelers- they have changed my perception of traveling with such a diverse age group, all of them are very sportive and enthusiastic.
