Day 1
Kochi - Munnar
Arrive at Cochin International Airport and transfer to Munnar. Get a chance to see the Cheeyappara Waterfall, It is a sight to behold as it runs down from a rocky slope in seven steps. After a scenic drive of about 4 hours we reach the Switzerland of South India called Munnar and enjoy the welcome dinner.

Day 2
Sightseeing in Munnar
After a leisurely breakfast, we leave for sightseeing. Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful, picture-postcard hill station. We visit Rajamalai a paradise for birders & wildlife enthusiasts. About 120 species of birds have been recorded and the largest surviving population of Nilgiri tahr. We will take a break for lunch. Later we visit the Mattupetty Dam. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3
Munnar - Thekkady
After breakfast, we proceed to Thekkady, which is a 3 hour drive from Munnar (90km). En route, visit Tea Garden. Thekkady is enchanting as the road winds through tranquil countryside, rich plantations & thick jungles. Day free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4
Wildlife & Cultural Experience
Early morning visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy boat ride on the lake. Periyar is Southern India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary. Back to the hotel for breakfast. Later visit Spice Plantation and enjoy shopping for spices at Kumily town. In the evening enjoy a Cultural show (Kathakali Dance and Kalaripayattu Martial Arts). Dinner and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 5
Thekkady to Kumarakom
After breakfast, proceed to Kumarakom (4 hours drive approx). Kumarakom is a cluster of beautiful little islands on the Vembanad Lake. It offers a scenic view of emerald green backwaters of Kerala flanked by luxuriant vegetation and paddy fields. After check in, spend the day at leisure in the serene atmosphere of Kumarakom. Dinner and Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 6
Alleppey - Kumarakom
After a leisurely breakfast at Kumarakom, check in at the Houseboat. At around 12 noon, you will be boarding your houseboat and sail towards Alleppey. Get an unparalleled Malabar experience. You will be greeted with traditional welcome drink. While you get drunk on the beauty of the backwaters on the cruise, be ready for an Exotic Kerala Cuisine to relish! Enjoy the Sunset with tea and Snacks. By evening proceed to Kumarakom and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7
Marari Beach
After breakfast, transfer to Marari, an hour’s drive (28 km). The rest of the day is at leisure at Marari beach. Marari beach is rated one of the world’s top 5 hammock beaches! With its vast coastline fringed with coconut trees, white sand and clean water this uncrowded beach is the perfect place to be in. So enjoy a cool relaxed evening at the beach.

Day 8
Departure from Kochi
Having experienced leisure at its finest, today you will embark on two hour drive to Kochi. You will go on local sightseeing of old Cochin. Later transfer to the airport for your flight back. This brings you to the end of your trip! You may leave the place behind, but the freshness and flavor will stay with you!

Kathakali is the most well known dance drama from the south Indian state of Kerala. The word Kathakali literally means "Story-Play". It is known for its large, elaborate makeup and costumes as you can see here- a wanderer posing with the dancers. -
